Ishtar

At our first ever Goddess Night Out under the Libra Full Moon, we worked with the Goddess Ishtar. Ishtar is the Mesopotamian goddess of love, sexuality, war, justice and fertility.

She is closely related to Venus cycles, known as Inanna during her descent as an evening star and Ishtar when she is resurrected as a morning star. Venus also rules Libra, making Ishtar a lovely goddess to work with under the upcoming full moon.

Although Ishtar is not directly linked to the modern day celebration of Easter, we can work with her fertile energy during the first full moon of Spring. She is a dualistic deity assisting us in integrating both our shadow and light.
