Getting ready for your first Goddess Night Out™?

First and foremost, Goddess Night Out™ intends to be a safe space for all women.

It all started with two best friends at a concert. Fully immersed in the music, we were distracted from a once-in-a-lifetime experience by men approaching us, trying to dance with us, or simply violating our boundaries all together. This is a story many women know ALL too well. And it was in this moment that Goddess Night Out™ was born: a vision to create a safe space for women to dance, sing, and express ourselves freely- without wondering how our bodies look, who might be watching, and what "signals" we are sending out.

Now, Goddess Night Out™ has evolved to offer dance events for women to connect with their bodies and each other in safe spaces.

We open our gathering with a woman-led workshop to help participants drop into their bodies and connect with their unique essence.

After our workshop, we open the doors to our women’s temple for an evening of free dance and connection. We start each temple dance with an opening circle to create a safe container and set an intention for the gathering. We also have curated spaces to stretch, pull oracle cards, and connect with other women.

We end each event with a healing sound bath and moment of reflection.

We aim to create an empowering space for women of all ages, races, and backgrounds to come together to connect with each other– and more importantly, to connect with themselves. Our vision is to bring Goddess Night Out™ experiences to people all around the world, creating a space for people to heal themselves through song and dance.

Here are some of the common questions we get about our women's dance events.

FAQs

  • There is no specific dress code for Goddess Night Out™. Being comfortable to move your body to its fullest expression is the only criteria. Feel free to get all dressed up for your ladies night out. Dig through your old costume box or festival fits! Whatever helps your inner-goddess come out to play is divine!

Follow @goddessnightout on Instagram for monthly mood boards to help you tap into the theme of each month’s dance party!

  • WATER BOTTLE - We will provide water and disposable cups, but we encourage you to bring your own refillable water bottle to cut down on waste. Feel free to bring your own refreshment options and snacks too!

YOGA MAT - We encourage you to bring a yoga mat for stretching. You can also use this to lay on for our sound bath at the end of the night. Bringing your own mat isn’t necessary. We will have a few tumbling and stretching mats in our connection space available for anyone who wants to take a break or chat with other women.

SOCKS - We do ask you to remove shoes on the dance floor to ground into the earth as you meet your inner-goddess. If you’re uncomfortable being barefoot, we encourage you to bring socks or dance shoes.

  • We plan to include a variety of music, curated to build energetically through the night and bring us back down to gently transition into our sound bath.

We’re always looking for new music to include and we want your input! Submit your song, genre, and playlist suggestions here.

  • There is no experience required to participate in Goddess Night Out™. No moves to memorize or choreography to learn. This event is for all types of dancers, all bodies, all abilities. All you need is a desire to move.

  • Nope! Once our dance party begins, you’re welcome to come and go as you please!

  • Our events are 16 and older. Although we do not serve alcohol, we want to create an environment where people feel comfortable to express their authentic expression and divine sensuality.

We are considering hosting family-friendly events in the future, though!

  • Goddess Night Out™ is intended to be a safe space to tap into your divine feminine energy. Regardless of your sexual orientation, this is a space to dance among women.

We are welcoming and respectful of all definitions of women, including trans women.
